Monitoring

See your network and systems. Keep your data.

microbuilder monitoring is read-through: your metrics stay in your own infrastructure, and microbuilder only queries them to draw dashboards and evaluate alerts. Nothing is stored on our servers.

Collectors anywhere

Install a collector with one command on Linux, as Windows services, in Docker or on Kubernetes. It keeps its own metric store.

Network devices

Switches, routers, firewalls and access points over SNMP, plus Cisco Meraki through its API, with vendor packs for common gear.

Live network map

Devices and their links drawn from LLDP and CDP, so you can see how the network is actually wired.

Dashboards

Build dashboards from templates or your own queries, share them as files, and pick time ranges per panel.

Alerts

Alert rules on any metric, delivered by email or webhook, and a warning when a collector itself stops reporting.

AWS and Grafana Cloud

Chart CloudWatch metrics for what you run on AWS, and copy collector metrics to Grafana Cloud if you use it.

Built for real networks

Security that holds up in a client’s network.

The collector reaches microbuilder through a Cloudflare tunnel it opens itself, so there are no inbound firewall rules to add. Device credentials are handled so that microbuilder never needs to be able to read them.

  • No inbound ports on your network
  • Metrics kept on the collector, for as long as you choose
  • Bring your own Prometheus or VictoriaMetrics if you already run one

Credentials sealed to the collector

SNMP community strings and passwords are encrypted in your browser to the collector’s own key. microbuilder stores only ciphertext it cannot read.

Or straight from your vault

Reference a secret in 1Password or AWS Secrets Manager instead. The collector fetches it on your network, so neither the secret nor the vault login passes through microbuilder.

A collector that watches itself

Disk space, reachability and configuration problems are reported before they cost you data.
