Privacy policy

Last updated 1 November 2026.

This policy explains what personal data Reliant Technologies (“we”, “us”) collects when you use microbuilder and this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can: microbuilder is built so that the infrastructure, data and metrics you work with stay in your own accounts.

What we collect

Your account

  • Your name and email address, and your profile from GitHub or Google if you sign in with them.
  • Your workspaces, their members and their roles, and any single sign-on settings your organisation configures.
  • The approximate place you signed up and last signed in from: country, region, city and time zone, as reported by our network provider. We do not store your IP address for this.

What you connect and build

  • Credentials you give us for your cloud and AI accounts (for example AWS, Cloudflare, GitHub and your AI provider). They are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored and decrypted only in memory when a call needs them.
  • Records of what microbuilder built for you: resource identifiers, configuration, build logs, cost estimates and the requests you made to the AI engineers.
  • Websites you create with microsites, and messages visitors send through their contact forms.

Billing

If you buy a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them. We keep the subscription, plan, seat count and invoice records Stripe sends us.

Contacting us

If you use our contact form, we store your name, email address, company (if given), topic and message so our team can answer it, and send it to the team by email. We delete it on request, or once it is no longer needed to help you.

What we do not collect

  • We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers on this website or in the app.
  • The workloads you run, the data in your databases and buckets, and your monitoring metrics stay in your own accounts and infrastructure. microbuilder queries metrics to draw dashboards; it does not store them.
  • We do not sell personal data.

Visitors to microsites

Microsites our customers publish count visits without cookies. To tell repeat views apart on the same day, a visitor is represented by a keyed hash of their address, browser, the site and the date, which is kept for two days and then deleted. Only daily totals are kept after that. Messages sent through a microsite’s contact form are stored for the site’s owner and emailed to them; the site’s owner is responsible for how they use them.

Why we use it

  • To provide microbuilder: sign you in, build and manage what you ask for in your accounts, and show you its status and cost.
  • To bill you for a paid plan.
  • To keep the service secure: rate limits, abuse prevention and investigating problems.
  • To answer you when you contact us, and to tell you about changes that affect your account.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the services that make microbuilder work, and only what they need:

  • Your own providers. When microbuilder acts for you, it calls AWS, Cloudflare, GitHub and your AI provider with your credentials. Requests to the AI engineers go to the AI provider you chose, under your agreement with them. If you connect Langfuse, AI traces go to your Langfuse project.
  • Stripe, for payments.
  • Our email provider, to send sign-in links, notifications and replies.
  • Our hosting and network providers, which run and protect the service, including Cloudflare.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Cookies and storage

microbuilder uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers a few preferences, such as light or dark mode, in local storage. There are no tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data and encrypted credentials, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as invoices. Deleting your account does not delete the resources in your cloud accounts; remove them in microbuilder first if you want them gone.

Your rights

You can see and update most of your data in the app. You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop or limit how we use it, by writing to us through the contact page. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Security

See our Security page for how we protect your accounts and data. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal data, we will tell you without undue delay.

Children

microbuilder is a business service and is not meant for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell account holders by email before a change that materially affects them takes effect.
